    1. Surface preparation
      Before applying Algo paint, make sure the surface is clean, dry and smooth. Remove all dirt, dust and loose paint. If necessary, lightly sand the surface to ensure good adhesion.
    2. Application of a primer
      For highly absorbent or porous surfaces, we recommend applying a suitable primer. This will even out paint absorption and improve the final finish.
    3. Tool selection
      Use quality tools for optimum application. A short-nap roller is ideal for smooth surfaces, while a brush is preferable for corners and details. For larger surfaces, spray painting can also be considered.
    4. Application conditions
      Apply paint in a well-ventilated environment, avoiding extreme temperatures. Ideally, work between 10°C and 30°C to ensure uniform drying.
    5. Application techniques
      Apply paint in thin, even coats. For best results, start at the edges with a brush, then use a roller for larger surfaces. Be sure to criss-cross the coats to avoid streaking.
    6. Drying time
      Follow the recommended drying time between coats. Algo paint generally takes 2 to 4 hours to dry. For best results, apply at least two coats.
    7. Tool cleaning
      Clean your tools immediately after use with soapy water to extend their life and avoid paint residues.
    8. Finishing and maintenance
      After the final coat, wait at least a week before cleaning the painted surface. Avoid abrasive products and use a soft cloth for maintenance.

    Is paint suitable for children's rooms?

    Yes, Algo paint is dermatologically tested and VOC-free, making it perfectly safe for children. This paint is certified European Ecolabel and classified A+. Breathe healthier air!
    Algo® emissivity is 10 times lower than the strictest standards, with less than 1 g/L of VOCs. Thanks to its composition based on natural ingredients, Algo® greatly reduces the risk of allergens.

    Please note: Do not ingest or allow to come into contact with eyes (Dangerous. Observe safety precautions).

    Where do raw materials come from?

    The raw materials used for Algo paint are natural and come from sustainable sources. It's an ecological algae-based paint, made 100% in France in Brittany.

    How much paint do I need?

    As well as being natural, seaweed gives the paint excellent coverage, with a yield of 12 m²/L.

    How do I apply paint?

    • Tool cleaning: That's the advantage of solvent-free paint: just rinse with water!
    • Leachability: Have the kids drawn on the living room wall? Don't panic! In matte or satin finish, Algo® is 100% washable.
    • Application: We recommend one coat of undercoat and two coats of topcoat for optimum results in keeping with the chosen shade.
    • Moist rooms: Algo® takes you right into the kitchen and bathroom, with a preference for satin finish.
    • Tools: We've thought of everything! For optimum results, choose the tools we've carefully selected on our website, which are perfectly suited to the Algo®.
    • Drying: Touch-dry in 30 minutes, we recommend waiting 12 hours between coats of paint.
